Introduction to Leicester
I often lead private Guided Walks for groups, and these are often - but not exclusively - in Leicester.
One such recently was for a group of friends, some from Leicester and some from Birmingham. They wanted to see some of the highlights of the city, and I devised a walk for them which I called "Introduction to Leicester".
I showed them the Thomas Cook Statue, pointing out that his very first trip was from Leicester to Loughborough; the wonderful Leicester Market, together with the new Food Hall; the Highcross indoor shopping centre; several of the sites associated with Richard III, soon to be reinterred in Leicester Cathedral; and the historic areas around the Guildhall and St. Mary de Castro Church.
If you would like your group to experience this introduction to an amazing city, feel free to get in touch.
