British Travel Trade Fair
I went to the British Travel Trade Fair recently. This is held annually at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) at Birmingham.
This exhibition is one of the most important in the calendar for those interested in providing or consuming in the travel and tourism field.
It's always a joy to be able to talk to people involved in the industry from all over the country. In some cases it's renewing old acqaintances, while in others it's putting faces to names.
I was able to chat to people representing the Black Country; Canterbury; Coventry; Devon; Eastbourne; Gosport; Hertfordshire; Huntingdon; Portsmouth; Rochester; Rugby; Snowdonia; and Windsor.
Not only that, but attractions such as Alnwick Castle; the National Space Centre at Leicester; The Beatles Story at Liverpool; the Houses of Parliament; London Zoo; St. Pauls Cathedral; Ye Olde Pork Pie Shoppe at Melton Mowbray; Walsall Illuminations; and the West Somerset Railway.
It's a trade show that is well worth the effort of attending.
