East Goscote Youth Group Have Haunted Evening
Members of the Youth Group from East Goscote took part in a ghostly Guided Walk in Leicester recently.
I had been asked to lead the walk by the youth leader Paul Draycott, who works out of Roundhill College at Syston.
So I took the group on their own version of my “Haunted Leicester” walk, which is one of the most popular of the many walks that I lead in the city and around the county.
They heard stories relating to the ancient St. Mary de Castro Church, John of Gaunts Cottage, Leicester Castle and the Turret Gateway, together with the story of the terrifying Black Annis.
Everybody agreed that Old Leicester at night time is, in addition to being picturesque and full of history, a pretty spooky place.
