Burton-upon-Trent Station (Burton-upon-Trent)
Burton-upon-Trent Station is the railway station serving the Staffordshire town of Burton-upon-Trent.
Trains come from Birmingham, and arrive by way of Water Orton and Tamworth.
They continue to Willington, Peartree and Derby.
Another line ran from Burton to Etwall, Derby, Ilkeston and Nottingham.
Another ran to Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Coalville, Kirby Muxloe and Leicester. This line, rebranded as the Ivanhoe Line and running through the National Forest, was to reopen, and maps were printed showing an opening date of 1997. Today, in 2008, we are still waiting.
