Waterside Stamford (A Guided Walk in Stamford)

"Waterside Stamford" is one of the very popular series of Waterside Walks devised and led by Blue Badge Guide Colin Crosby, of Colin Crosby Heritage Tours.

These strolls are an enjoyable way of soaking up some Local History.

The walks take place beside rivers and canals.

In this case the walk is beside the lovely River Welland in and around the outstanding Lincolnshire town of Stamford.

"Waterside Stamford" starts at Stamford Station.

The route includes the beautiful water meadows at the heart of the town, and along the way points of interest such as the Boudicca Monument, Kings Mill and the former Stamford East Station can be seen.

Colin also leads walks in Stamford, looking at its long history, including "Stamford", "Stamford and St. Martins", "Stamford and All Saints" and "Faith in Stamford".

Other Waterside Walks which Colin leads include "Waterside Abbey Park", "Waterside Aylestone", "Waterside Belgrave", "Waterside Birstall", "Waterside Charnwood", "Waterside Glenhills", "Waterside Glen Parva", "Waterside Hinckley", "Waterside Leicester", "Waterside London", "Waterside Loughborough", "Waterside Loughborough and Barrow-upon-Soar", "Waterside Market Harborough", "Waterside Mountsorrel", "Waterside Quorn and Barrow-upon-Soar", "Waterside Thurmaston" and "Waterside West End".
