Rothley Lanes (A Guided Walk in Rothley)
"Rothley Lanes" is one of the very popular Guided Walks devised and led by Colin Crosby, of Colin Crosby Heritage Tours. the well known Blue Badge Guide.
These strolls are a most enjoyable way of soaking up some Local History.
The starting point for this walk is Cross Green, in the centre of the attractive and historic Leicestershire village of Rothley.
Colin leads the party to the much less known but very pretty Town Green, and then on to Rothley Court Hotel, birthplace of Thomas Babington Macaulay, for a look at the rare surviving Knights Templar Chapel.
After passing Rothley Station, the route touches the village of Thurcaston, before returning through Rothley Park.
Colin also leads another walk in Rothley Village. This is simply entitled "Rothley".
