Hallowe`en at Rothley (A Guided Walk in Rothley)

[An image showing Hallowe`en at Rothley]"Hallowe`en at Rothley" is one of the very popular ghostly walks devised and led by Blue Badge Guide Colin Crosby, of Colin Crosby Heritage Tours.

These strolls are an enjoyable way to soak up some Local History.

It starts at Cross Green, in the centre of the attractive village of Rothley, on the edge of Charnwood Forest.

Hallowe`en, 31st October, is regarded throughout Europe as the most haunted night of the year. If you are going to encounter a ghost, this is the most likely night for it to happen.

Rothley itself is a very historic village. The Knights Templar Chapel still stands, and there is an Anglo-Saxon cross in the churchyard of St. Mary and St. John Church.

During the walk, Colin tells ghostly tales from around the country, including his own home town of Rochford in Essex, where a well known haunting is by Anne Boleyn.

There is also the chance to relate your own eerie experiences.

Colin leads a number of other haunted walks, including "Haunted Leicester" and "Haunted London".
