Shenton Station (Shenton)
Shenton Station is the railway station serving the little Leicestershire village of Shenton.
It is very close to the Bosworth Battlefield, where Richard III lost his crown and his life.
Shenton is now the terminus of the steam hauled railway known as the Battlefield Line. This runs through Market Bosworth, where unfortunately trains are not able to stop, to Shackerstone.
The line formerly continued Southwards to Nuneaton, and Northwards to Ashby-de-la-Zouch and Derby.
