Sileby

Sileby is a village in Leicestershire, roughly equidistant between Leicester and Loughborough.

It lies on the Eastern of the two roads that flank the valley of the River Soar, a little to the South of Barrow-upon-Soar, and is on the edge of the Leicestershire Wolds.

Until the mid 20th century, Sileby was a largely industrial village, but today there is a large commuter population.

St. Mary's Church dates back to the 13th century, and the timber framed Free Trade Inn was created from a pair of mediaeval cottages.

Blue Badge Guide Colin Crosby is available to lead Guided Walks around Sileby for groups.
