Great Bowden
Great Bowden is an attractive village in the South of Leicestershire.
It was the mother village of Market Harborough, the nearby town, which was created as a mediaeval New Town.
St. Peter and St. Paul Church is in the centre of the village. It has a Decorated tower with a short spire, and also boasts a 15th century Doom painting.
There is an attractive Village Green which is intersected by roads.
Great Bowden is in the heart of the Fernie Hunt country, and Hugo Meynell's hounds were originally in kennels there before being moved to Quorn.
Blue Badge Guide Colin Crosby is available to lead Guided Walks around Great Bowden for groups.
