Gaddesby

Gaddesby is a small village in Leicestershire, in the picturesque countryside between Syston and Melton Mowbray.

The mediaeval St. Luke's Church is one of the finest in the county. The estate was owned by the Knights Templar, who had an important preceptory at Rothley, and they would have financed much of the construction of the church.

The church contains a magnificent equestrian statue of Colonel Cheney, who fought at Waterloo.

Blue Badge Guide Colin Crosby is available to lead Guided Walks around Gaddesby for groups.
