Dadlington
Dadlington is a village in Leicestershire, 3 miles from Hinckley.
It stands on a hilltop, overlooking the plain where the Battle of Bosworth, at which Richard III lost his crown and his life, was fought in 1485.
The village is close to the Roman road from Leicester to Mancetter, now known as Fenn Lane.
St. James` Church dates back to the late 12th century. Henry VIII gave money for a chantry, and many of those killed in the battle lie in the churchyard.
Blue Badge Guide Colin Crosby is available to lead Guided Walks around Dadlington for groups.
