University Visitors Shown Leicester
I took a party of visitors to Leicester University on a short walk in Leicester recently.
They were microbiologists, attending a conference at the university. In the evening, they had been booked to have a meal at the Halli restaurant in Granby Street, and I had been asked to walk them down there.
So they had a gentle walk, covering Leicester`s outstanding War Memorial, Victoria Park, the sublime New Walk and the Thomas Cook Statue.
Obviously, delegates came from all over the country, and I was able to talk to people from places such as Guildford, Hull and Salisbury.
I left them with a very favourable impression of this excellent city of Leicester.
