National Venue Show

I went to the National Venue Show recently.

This is one of the trade shows that I visit from time to time. It is held at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) at Birmingham.

The exhibitors tend to be businesses in the tourism or conference trade, many of whom are relevant to some of the activities with which I am involved as a Blue Badge Guide.

I had a long chat with the delegation from Hull, including Anthony Yates, whom I knew when he was working for Birmingham City Council.

It was also nice to talk to representatives from Leicester University, and from hotels at Nottingham, as well as football grounds.

Playing and singing were the beautiful and multi-talented Vernon Sisters.

Next door to the National Venue Show is the National Incentive Show, which I always have a look at. This largely features companies who produce incentives, such as bags, keyrings, T-shirts and lots more less obvious things. I always find it interesting.
