Ramsgate Station (Ramsgate)

Ramsgate Station is the railway station serving the seaside resort of Ramsgate in Kent.

It is situated about a mile from the seafront, at the original village of St. Lawrence.

The station was built in 1926, as a successor to an earlier one.

Trains from London depart from Victoria Station, and come by way of Rochester, Faversham, Herne Bay, Margate and Broadstairs.

They continue to Deal, Dover and Folkestone, while another line runs to Canterbury and Ashford.

Another line formerly ran direct to Margate, and there was another station on a branch line which ran under the cliffs to the seafront.
