Tuxford and Tebbutt (Melton Mowbray)

Tuxford and Tebbutt is a small factory in the bustling Leicestershire market town of Melton Mowbray.

It is situated at Thorpe End, close to the Melton Carnegie Museum.

Tuxford and Tebbutt are a local company, and are one of the few producers of Stilton cheese, a geographically protected food acknowledged as such by the EEC.

They also produce another well known local cheese, Red Leicester.

Melton Mowbray is also the town where hand raised pork pies are produced. These can be bought at several retail outlets in the town, notably the Dickinson and Morris premises known as Ye Olde Pork Pie Shoppe.
