Saturday Market Place (Kings Lynn)
The Saturday Market Place is one of the most historic areas in the fascinating old Norfolk town of Kings Lynn.
It was the orginal market place of the old town, before its mediaeval extension to where the Tuesday Market Place is situated now.
Around the Saturday Market Place are several important and picturesque buildings.
The splendid St. Margarets Church is still the main parish church of the town.
The Guildhall, with its chequered front, is several historic buildings rolled into one, and contains the "Tales of the Old Gaol House".
Leading off the Saturday Market Place are two parallel streets, Queen Street and High Street, which both lead to theTuesday Market Place.
