Kelvedon Station (Kelvedon)

Kelvedon Station is the railway station which serves the Essex village of Kelvedon.

It is situated on the edge of the village.

Trains from London leave from Liverpool Street Station, coming via Romford, Brentwood and Chelmsford.

They continue to Colchester, Ipswich and Norwich.

There was formerly a branch line from Kelvedon to Tiptree, Tolleshunt D'Arcy and Tollesbury. Known as the Crab and Winkle Line, it was the original of the much loved railway that ran in Battersea Park in London during the Festival of Britain, and closed in 1951.
