Audley End Station (Audley End)

Audley End Station is the railway station serving the hamlet and great house of Audley End, but being only a mile away serves as the station for Saffron Walden.

The station was built by Francis Thompson in 1845, and was originally called Wenden, after the nearby village of Wendens Ambo.

Trains from London leave from Liverpool Street Station, and arrive by way of Stratford (Essex), Harlow and Newport (Essex).

They continue to Great Chesterford, Whittlesford and Cambridge.
