Sturry
Sturry is a village in Kent, 3 miles from Canterbury and on the road to the Isle of Thanet.
There was a huge amount of bomb damage in the Second World War, and the village was subsequently largely rebuilt.
The parish church, however, retains its Norman tower and 14th century timber porch.
Sturry Court now houses a school. It was once a grange of St. Augustines Abbey, and has a Tudor archway as well as an enormous tithe barn, partly weatherboarded and partly of brick.
