Foxton

Foxton is a village in Leicestershire, 3 miles from Market Harborough.

St. Andrew's Church, on a hilltop, is basically 13th century. It contains an Anglo-Saxon cross and a 12th century font.

The Manor House dates from the mediaeval period.

The village is best known for Foxton Locks, a flight of ten locks completed in 1808, on the Grand Union Canal. There is an associated museum. Nearby are the remains of a boat lift constructed in 1900.

Blue Badge Guide Colin Crosby is available to lead Guided Walks around Foxton for groups.
