Colin Crosby Heritage Tours

Elmesthorpe

Elmesthorpe is a village in Leicestershire, 1 mile from Earl Shilton.

St. Mary`s Church dates back to the 14th century. The former nave is in ruins and open to the sky, and is accessible through the tower. The former chancel is still in use as the parish church. There is a 12th century font.

It is believed that Richard III stayed at the church on the night before the fateful Battle of Bosworth in 1485.

Blue Badge Guide Colin Crosby is available to lead Guided Walks around Elmesthorpe for groups.
