East Goscote
East Goscote is a new town, or more accurately new village, in Leicestershire, 2 miles from Syston.
The name comes from one of the county`s old hundreds, more often known by the local Danish-based name of wapentakes.
The village lies on the ancient ridgeway, high above the valley of the River Wreake, which connects Leicester with Melton Mowbray.
Blue Badge Guide Colin Crosby is available to lead Guided Walks around East Goscote for groups.
