Warwickshire Borders Tour (A Coach Trip in Warwickshire)
"Warwickshire Borders Tour" is one of the popular Coach Trips devised and led by the well known Blue Badge Guide Colin Crosby, of Colin Crosby Heritage Tours.
These excursions are a most enjoyable way of soaking up some Local History.
This is one of the morning trips, which tend to be appreciated by people who would rather not be out all day.
The coach leaves St. Margarets Bus Station in Leicester City Centre at 9.30am, and is due back about 2pm.
The format for the morning trips is that passengers stay on the coach for most of the journey, while Colin gives his inimitable commentary, but at about the halfway point, usually around 11.30am, a stop is made at a place of interest, where one can buy tea, coffee, cakes etc.
This particular trip concentrates on the border country between Leicestershire and Warwickshire.
Some of the towns in the area, which might well be included on the tour, are Coventry, Hinckley, Nuneaton and Rugby, while the famous Roman road known as Watling Street, still the boundary between the two counties, was once an international frontier.
