Hidden Leicestershire Tour (A Coach Trip in Leicestershire)
The “Hidden Leicestershire Tour” is a Coach Trip devised and led by Blue Badge Guide Colin Crosby, of Colin Crosby Heritage Tours.
These excursions are an enjoyable way to soak up some Local History.
It is one of the morning trips around the Leicestershire area, which are very popular with people who would rather not be out all day.
The subject is deserted villages, castle sites and holy wells – some of the odd things that are not normally seen by either tourists or residents.
The coach leaves St. Margarets Bus Station, in Leicester City Centre, at 9.30am, and returns about 2pm.
The format for these excursions is that one stays on the coach almost all the time, while Colin gives his unique commentary, but around halfway round there is a stop at a pleasant location, where one can buy tea, coffee, cakes etc.
This particular trip looks at some of the hidden aspects largely of the Western part of Leicestershire, around Lutterworth, Hinckley and Market Bosworth.
There is another excursion, “Secret Leicestershire Tour”, which concentrates more on the Eastern side of the county.
