Shakespeare Country Tour Voted a Hit
I recently took a party from the Leicester area on a Coach Trip entitled "Shakespeare Country Tour ".
It was part of a pretty extensive programme of excursions which I run throughout the year. Some are relatively local, while others are to destinations all around the country.
We left St. Margarets Bus Station as usual, and travelled on a pleasant route through Rugby, Leamington Spa and Warwick, where everybody was treated to a magnificent view of Warwick Castle across the River Avon.
Then we arrived in Stratford-upon-Avon by a circuitous route which took us past Mary Arden`s House and Anne Hathaway`s Cottage.
We had a couple of hours actually in Stratford, during which everybody soaked up the atmosphere of this delightful old town. Personally, I had an indulgent cream tea at Hathaway`s tea shop.
Then on the way back we passed Charlecote Park, and went through several pretty villages, including Wellesbourne, Barford and Henley-in-Arden.
Finally, there was a refreshment stop at Corley Services.
My Visitor`s Book received such comments as "anoher lovely day Colin", "lovely interesting trip","enjoyed our day" and "very enjoyable and informative as usual".
If you would like to join the merry band who come on these trips, some of the ones coming up are "Northamptonshire Delights Tour", "Ludlow", "Salisbury" and "Thetford Forest Tour".
