Salisbury (A Coach Trip in Salisbury)

"Salisbury" is one of the Coach Trips devised and led by the well known Blue Badge Guide Colin Crosby, of Colin Crosby Heritage Tours.

These excursions are an excellent way of soaking up some Local History.

The coach departs from St. Margarets Bus Station in Leicester City Centre at 8am, and is due back at about 9.30pm.

Along the way, Colin gives his inimitable commentary, bringing to life interesting sights and places along the way.

Salisbury is a beautiful and historic cathedral city in Wiltshire, which was moved in the 13th century from the nearby hilltop site known as Old Sarum. Both Constable and Turner painted famous pictures of the cathedral as seen across the meadows.

Colin leads a Guided Walk around Salisbury during the day, pointing out some of the city's many interesting features, including the superb Salisbury Cathedral in its wonderful close; the enormous Market Place; St. Thomas Church, with its magnificent wall painting; and the ornate Poultry Cross.
