Early Midsummer Haunt for Timberland Visitors
A group of overseas visitors to Leicester were treated to a spine tingling ghostly Guided Walk recently.
I led a private version of “A Midsummer Night’s Haunt” for the group, who were visiting Leicester for a conference organised by Timberland.
Russell Thorpe of Timberland asked me to lead the walk, and of course I was more than happy to do so.
The group included delegates from Hong Kong, India and the United States. All were impressed by Leicester’s history and the picturesque qualities of the Old Town, in addition to the ghostly aspects.
The walk centred around St. Mary de Castro Church and the Leicester Castle area, including the Turret Gateway, with its macabre tales of the terrifying Black Annis.
Any other groups wishing to have a private version of this walk, or indeed any other, are welcome to get in touch.
