Did You Miss the Hereford Trip?
Well, if you did miss the Hereford Coach Trip, you missed a very good one.
We left St. Margarets Bus Station in Leicester in the morning as usual, and stopped as always for coffee. I always pick a place to stop in the morning that has something interesting to look at, and this time it was Webbs of Wychbold, the enormous garden centre just off the M5.
Then we drove through Worcester and Malvern, during which I was giving a commentary of course, before arriving at our destination of Hereford.
The Hereford Guided Walk went very well, with the promised wet weather holding off. It's always true that the best way to see any town or city is with a properly qualified Guide.
I was able to show the group lots of interesting features, including Hereford Cathedral, the Wye Bridge, St. Peters Church, All Saints Church and the Old House.
The River Wye was very high, and running so fast that logs that it was carrying overtook us while we were strolling by the river through Bishops Meadow.
Then on the way back we stopped at Strensham Services.
The next Coach Trip is to Oxford (again with a Guided Walk) on Saturday 27th January, and that's followed by the Free Mystery Tour, Da Vinci Code Tour, Ripon and Mysterious Wiltshire Tour.
