Derbyshire Borders Tour Went Down Well
I led another of my morning Coach Trips from Leicester recently. This time it was the "Derbyshire Borders Tour".
As always, we set off from St. Margarets Bus Station, in the heart of the city. We then moved Northwards until we reached Derby, where we made our coffee stop, at the famous Royal Crown Derby.
The tour around the borders of Leicestershire and Derbyshire included an added treat. I took the party to Breedon-on-the-Hill and up the steep hill to St. Mary and St. Harduph Church, where I took them in and explained some of its history and priceless Anglo-Saxon works of art.
My Visitors` Book included such comments as "thank you for an enjoyable trip, all the places I have seen today are all new to me, it was lovely to visit the church at Breedon", "a very enjoyable our, especially the stop at Breedon-on-the-Hill" and "smashing tour, enjoyed it very much".
