Coach Trips for 2006
All you people who love going on Coach Trips – I’m now in a position to be able to give you details of my excursions for 2006.
They all leave from St. Margarets Bus Station in Leicester, which of course is nice and central for everybody in Leicestershire.

Sat 28 Jan Bury St. Edmunds– fascinating cathedral city in the lovely county of Suffolk, including a Guided Walk. 8am. £20
Wed 22 Feb Free Mystery Tour – for the fourteenth year, morning trip to tie in with International Day of the Tourist Guide. 9.30am. Free
Wed 8 Mar Old Mercia Tour – morning trip around the ancient towns and villages of the Kingdom of Mercia. 9.30am. £8
Sat 25 Mar Richmond – historic old town on the River Swale in the Dales of North Yorkshire, including a Guided Walk. 8am. £20
Wed 19 Apr Essex Tour – the beautiful county of Essex, visiting Saffron Walden, Halstead and Maldon, with an additional stop at Finchingfield, England’s most photographed village. 8am. £20
Sat 13 May Wells – exquisite small cathedral city in Somerset, whose cathedral has a magnificent West Front, including a Guided Walk. 8am. £20
Sat 27 May Tissington – lovely village in Derbyshire, in which this weekend the famous Well Dressing takes place. Plus a visit to Bakewell. 8am. £17
Wed 7 Jun John Clare Country Tour – morning trip around villages associated with this well-loved poet. 9.30am. £8
Sun 25 Jun Heart of England Tour – Sunday afternoon trip around scenic Warwickshire, with a visit to Old Kenilworth. 1pm. £17
Thur 13 Jul Captain Cook Country Tour – towns and villages around North Yorkshire associated with the great mariner, visiting Marton (his birthplace), Staithes and Whitby. 8am. £20
Sat 29 Jul Ely – delightful small cathedral city amongst the Fens in Cambridgeshire, whose brilliant cathedral is a landmark for miles around, and which has a lovely waterside area, including a Guided Walk. 8am. £20
Mon 21 Aug Cirencester – ancient town in Gloucestershire on a Roman site, with outstanding church, including a Guided Walk. The visit takes place on Market Day. 8am. £20
Wed 13 Sep Richard III Tour – morning trip, exploring the area where the tragic and much-maligned Richard III lost his crown and his life. 9.30am. £8
Sat 30 Sep Thames Valley Tour – the famous River Thames, perhaps the most famous river in the world, visiting Lechlade, Marlow and Windsor. 8am. £20
Wed 25 Oct New Forest Tour – an Autumn Colours tour around the New Forest in Hampshire, visiting Lyndhurst, Lymington and Christchurch. 8am. £20
Wed 8 Nov Nottinghamshire Borders Tour – morning trip, around the Newark and Southwell area. 9.30am. £8
Sat 25 Nov Hereford – cathedral city on the River Wye in Herefordshire, in the Welsh Marches, including a Guided Walk. 8am. £20
