Stoneleigh Abbey (Stoneleigh)

Stoneleigh Abbey is a historic house at Stoneleigh in Warwickshire.

It is built on the site of a Cistercian Abbey founded in 1155, of which it incorporates some remains, including the gatehouse.

The house was started in the 15th century.

The West wing was designed by Francis Smith of Warwick between 1714 and 1726, and the North wing was reconstructed by Charles S. Smith of Warwick in the 19th century. The South wing was added about 1820.

There is a range of State Apartments, restored Regency riding stables and a 19th century conservancy.

Humphry Repton landscaped the riverside gardens.
