Stoneleigh

Stoneleigh is a village in Warwickshire, 3 miles from Kenilworth.

Formerly an estate village, Stoneleigh is now treated as a showpiece with many picturesque cottages.

St. Mary`s Church dates back to the Norman period, and has a fine chancel arch.

There is an ancient bridge, and the Old Almshouses were built in 1594.

Stoneleigh Abbey is mainly an 18th century house, but some buildings, including the gatehouse, of the Cistercian abbey survive. The grounds house the National Agricultural Centre.
