St. Bartholomew`s Hospital (Sandwich)
St. Bartholomew`s Hospital s a historic building at Sandwich in Kent.
It is situated just outside the town, on Deal Road.
The hospital was founded in 1217, with the spoils of a battle at sea, Sandwich being one of the Cinque Ports.
The chapel survives from the 13th century, and is surrounded on three sides by brick almshouses built in the 18th and 19th centuries.
