Bestwood Country Park (Nottingham)

Bestwood Country Park is a country park at Nottingham.

The main entrance is in Northern Drive, off Park Road.

Bertwood Park was once part of the famous Sherwood Forest, and was used for hunting by many Kings of England, including Charles II, who leased the estate to Nell Gwynne, his mistress, and gave her son the hereditary title Duke of St. Albans.

Designated a country park in 1985, Bestwood includes heathland, woodland, grassland, lakes and wet pastures.
