Newport Station is the railway station that serves the large industrial town of Newport (Gwent).

Trains from London leave from Paddington Station and arrive by way of Reading, Didcot and Swindon .

Trains also come from Birmingham by way of Worcester, Malvern and Gloucester.

They continue to Cardiff, Bridgend and Swansea.

Another important line runs to Abergavenny, Hereford, Ludlow and Shrewsbury.

Other former stations in the town were Courtybella, Mill Street and Dock Street, all of which closed in the 19th century.
