High Street (Maldon)

The High Street is the major thoroughfare in the historic old maritime town of Maldon in Essex.

There are many picturesque houses, some dating back to the 14th century, along the street.

The site of Maldon's mediaeval market was where the High Street makes a sharp turn.

Along this part of the High Street are All Saints Church, with its unique triangular tower, the Moot Hall and the Maeldune Centre.

Past the Maeldune Centre, the High Street drops down to the River Blackwater, and The Hythe, formerly a separate settlement.
