Archbishop`s Palace (Maidstone)

The Archbishop`s Palace is a historic building at Maidstone in Kent.

It is situated in Mill Street, beside the river.

The palace is 14th century, and has been extended over the centuries. The interior features 16th century panelling, and fireplaces made of stone and of wood.

It was used by Archbishops of Canterbury to rest while travelling between Canterbury and London.

The building is now used as a Register Office.
