St. John the Baptist Church (Billesdon)
St. John the Baptist is the parish church of the attractive Leicestershire village of Billesdon.
It stands in an attractive churchyard.
An ironstone church, it dates back to the 13th century. From this period the West tower and an arcade survive, although the tower was faithfully restored in the 1860s.
The Early English font is circular.
In the ironstone walls can be seen many fossils.
