Sysonby
Sysonby was a small village in Leicestershire, 1 mile from Melton Mowbray, of which it is now a suburb.
The tiny ironstone church, whose dedication is not known, has a small West tower, and was extensively restored in 1892.
There was a mediaeval grange here, which belonged to the Cistercian Garendon Abbey.
Lady Caroline Lamb lived in the area.
Blue Badge Guide Colin Crosby is available to lead Guided Walks around Sysonby for groups.
