Medbourne
Medbourne is an attractive village in Leicestershire, 6 miles from Market Harborough.
It lies on the Roman road, usually known as the Via Devana but in these parts as the Gartree Road, that ran from Leicester to Colchester, and was an important Roman market settlement.
St. Giles Church is approached across a stream by a mediaeval pack horse bridge.
Medbourne Hall dates from the 17th century, but incorporates a 13th century manor house.
Medbourne supplies the away team in the annual Bottle Kicking held at nearby Hallaton.
