Leire
Leire is a small village in Leicestershire, 3 miles from Lutterworth. It stands on the little River Leire.
The pronunciation is as in "King Lear".
St. Peter`s Church dates back in part to around 1300. It has a Perpendicular West tower, with a parapet spire. Most of the church was rebuilt by William Smith in 1867 - 8.
Leire has a tiny Village Green.
The Manor House is a 17th century timber-framed building with thatch.
