Frisby-on-the-Wreake
Frisby-on-the-Wreake is a village in Leicestershire, 4 miles from Melton Mowbray and on the River Wreake.
St. Thomas` Church is mainly 14th century, while the base of the tower is Norman. There is much use of the local ironstone.
The mediaeval Cross, on a street corner, has been moved from a more central location. Probably originally a Market Cross, it is known locally as the Pilgrim Cross.
Another cross, the Stump Cross, stands beside the main road outside the village.
Blue Badge Guide Colin Crosby is available to lead Guided Walks around Frisby-on-the-Wreake for groups.
