Donisthorpe
Donisthorpe is a village in Leicestershire, 3 miles from Ashby-de-la-Zouch.
The whole area was full of collieries, which were steam powered until the 1970s. Donisthorpe Pit closed in 1991.
One of the collieries was named "Who`d a Thought It".
St. John`s Church was designed by H.I.Stevens, and built in 1838.
Donisthorpe stands on a reopened section of the Ashby Canal.
