Birchington, or to use its full name Birchington-on-Sea, is a village and quiet seaside resort on the Isle of Thanet in Kent, 4 miles from Margate.
The pre-Raphaelite poet Dante Gabriel Rossetti is buried in the churchyard of the parish church, which dates back to the 13th century.
