Belton-in-Rutland
Belton-in-Rutland is a pleasant village in Rutland, on a hilltop overlooking the Eye Brook, and 3 miles from Uppingham.
The parish church has features dating back to around 1200, and a pair of recumbent figures reused as part of the top of the churchyard wall.
The Hall is 17th century.
Formerly known simply as Belton, it changed its name to stop its mail going to Belton in Leicestershire.
