Belper
Belper is a small town in Derbyshire, 7 miles from Derby and on the River Derwent.
It was developed from the 1770s, with the coming of industry along the river, which is now a World Heritage Centre.
Jedediah Strutt`s gigantic mill, buil in 1776, is a prominent feature.
There are lovely riverside gardens.
Between 1945 and 1970, the town`s Member of Parliament was George Brown.
