Rochford Lanes (A Guided Walk in Rochford)
"Rochford Lanes" is one of the popular Guided Walks devised and led by Blue Badge Guide Colin Crosby, of Colin Crosby Heritage Tours.
Although Colin now lives in Leicester, he was actually born in Rochford, and lived in the area for many years.
These gentle strolls are a first class way of learning some Local History.
This walk begins outside the former Public Library in the Market Square of the fascinating old town of Rochford.
Colin takes a route leading Eastwards towards Stambridge, but leaving the road before the parish church of Great Stambridge is reached, to take a lane leading past the site of the long demolished Little Stambridge Church.
A delightful circular route is taken, leading back eventually to Rochford town centre.
