Prittlewell and Sutton (A Guided Walk in Prittlewell)
"Prittlewell and Sutton" is one of the many Guided Walks devised and led by Blue Badge Guide Colin Crosby, of Colin Crosby Heritage Tours. Colin was born in Rochford, and lived for many years locally.
These gentle strolls are a most interesting way of soaking up some Local History.
This walk starts at Priory Park Gates, at the bottom of the hill at Prittlewell, the mother village of Southend.
Colin leads the walk through the lovely Priory Park, past the site of the burial of a Saxon king, and out to the tiny village of Sutton, skirting the ancient town of Rochford before returning to Priory Park Gates.
