Haunted London (A Guided Walk in London)
“Haunted London” is one of the very popular Guided Walks in London devised and led by Blue Badge Guide Colin Crosby, of Colin Crosby Heritage Tours.
These strolls are an enjoyable way to soak up some Local History.
The starting point for this walk is outside Fenchurch Street Station in Fenchurch Place.
London is one of the oldest and most historic of the world’s major cities, and of course has a huge number of ghosts.
During this walk, Colin leads walkers in and out of the haunted passages and courtyards of Old London Town, and tells stories of the phantoms that are said to lurk in these hidden places.
These include the sad old lady at the Bank of England, the reformer priest at a church by the Thames, the boy whose mummified body was found in another church and one of the tragic victims of the notorious Jack the Ripper.
Down one of the passages is where Charles Dickens set the office of Ebenezer Scrooge in the most famous ghost story of them all, “A Christmas Carol”.
Colin leads other popular walks in London, including another ghostly walk, “The Haunted Capital”, and also, in macabre vein, “Jack the Ripper” and “The Grim Reapers London”.
He also leads similar walks in Leicester including “Haunted Leicester” and “Walk in Dread”.
